Miquel Barceló´s work is so wide. I covers, painting, sculpture, drawing and performance. An artist in constant evolution who has been invited by Salamanca University to celebrate the VIII aniversary of its centenary. The exhibition called ” El Arca de Noé “, gathers up examples of the artist last years, located in some of the most emblematic buildings of Salamanca. Miquel Barceló, is situated inside the artistic current of neo-expressionism, and what the most thrills me is the way he interacts with the work of art, he becomes camouflaged in it, and he turns into another element of it, such happens at the impressive performance called “Paso Doble”. I would like to describe in some way what Miquel Barceló transmits to me and comes to my mind words such: nature, sea, modestly, primitive, oneiric, handcrafted, light, Art.
I leave you some pictures and I cheer you up to go and see the exhibition.
To go through Salamanca streets I dress a white total look, dark blue kimono, block sandals and straw bag
