What I like the most of Yoko Ono is what she transmits. Movement, curiosity, irreverence, no conformist and wisdom. Japanese conceptual artist, John Lennon´s wife, fashion and art Icon. We could say many things of her. Even at her 81 years she continues surprising. Ideas always have been the engine and the reason of her work. Concepts, food for thought, as it was said by one of my teachers at university. And without concepts to belive in who we are? and where we go? . To paths without sense. So throughout this post I want to express my admiration to this woman who has put as insignia the critic along all her life and has turned it into Art. She has been at museum Guggenheim Bilbao and she hadn´t left anybody indifferent. The vividness and peculiarity of her figure make you focus on her. She has done three performances. One of them with japanesse simbology paintings, (Paint in Action), another, bandaging all the musics of an orchest, a wink to not ties and conventionalisms, (Piece for Jesus Christ), and the last one already known (Piece Promise), she performanced for the first time in London at 1966, when she throw a vase on the floor, promising she would come back in ten years to repair it among the people who were there. At this occasion, she has used two vases, one of them has kept intact. As Intact continues her passion for life and art. The ideas´s value.
